AIIMS MBBS 2016 - Complete Eligibility Criteria Details

AIIMS MBBS 2016 is a national level entrance exam for MBBS courses conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi for admissions in MBBS courses in 7 institutes across nation. The admission process is based on candidate's score in AIIMS MBBS exam, to appear for the exam, a candidate must meet all the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate's age limit

• A candidate must be 17 years old on or before 31 December, 2016. Thus candidates born on or after 2 January, 2000 are not eligible.

Candidate's Nationality

Indian / Overseas Citizen of India

• Candidate must be an Indian National.
• If a candidate is Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), he/she is also eligible for the exam, they have to submit their proof of registration under "Section 7A of Citizenship Act"

Foreign National

• Foreign national candidates can only get admission in AIIMS, New Delhi. They do not have to appear for the entrance exam in order to get admission in AIIMS, New Delhi. However, they must have passed the Intermediate of Science or any equivalent exam with 50% in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Qualifying Exam / Required Education

• Candidate must have passed class XI (10+2) / Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE) or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or its equivalent exam from any recognized University or board from India.
• English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology are required subject in the qualifying exam.
• Candidates appearing for the qualifying exam in 2016 are also eligible to appear for AIIMS MBBS, they have to provide proof of passing the exam with meeting all other criteria elements.
• The minimum marks required for a candidate to be eligible for AIIMS MBBS is 60% for general category and 50% for SC / ST / OPH category.
