AIIMS MBBS 2016 stands for All India Institute of Medical Sciences MBBS entrance exam. AIIMS is a group of medical institutes who conducts the AIIMS MBBS exam on National Level. The exam is conducted online for admissions in total of 672 MBBS seats in 7 institutes of AIIMS (6 Institutes + AIIMS, New Delhi).

The exam will be conducted on 1st June in two batches/times (Morning & Afternoon) in centres located across India. The result will be taken into account as the basis for admissions in MBBS course in AIIMS institutes.

JEE Main 2017

JEE Main stands for Joint Entrance Exam (Main), it is conducted by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education).
It is a National Level exam, clearing which you can be eligible for JEE Advanced / IIT-JEE, or admission for Bachelor's Engineering in Indian colleges.

JEE Main is held for Undergraduate Engineering admissions in various institutes, including NITs and some other private and government funded colleges.

Joint Entrance Exam has two stages:
  1. JEE Main 2017
  2. JEE Advanced 2017: for courses in IITs.

    What's new in JEE Main 2017?

    Till now, JEE Main's rank (All India Rank) were calculated with class XII marks, as 6:4 ratio (60% JEE, 40% XII). Now the score for JEE Main 2017 AIR will be calculated without XII marks (100% JEE Score).
    Second change is for aspirants looking to appear in JEE Advanced 2017, previously top 1.5 lakh candidates (in JEE AIR) were considered eligible to appear in JEE Advanced, however now 2 lakh candidates will be eligible.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Educational qualifications: A candidate that wants to appear in JEE Main 2017 Examination must have passed class XII (or equivalent),
    A candidate who is appearing for the qualifying exams mentioned above can also appear for the JEE Main 2017 exam.

    Reservation Factors in applying Age: A General or OBC candidate's Date of Birth (DOB) needs to be on or after 1st of October, 1992. However if a candidate is in reserved category, it has been extended for 5 years, i.e. 1st of October, 1987.

    Subjects in the qualifying exams: A candidate must have passed (or appearing in) the qualifying exam with at least five subjects.

    Some clarification: If a candidate has passed the qualifying exam in or before the year 2014, they are not eligible for appearing in JEE Main 2017.

    Maximum attempts: You can attempt JEE Main a total of three time.

    The Application forms for JEE Main 2017 most likely will be available on the official website of Joint Entrance Exam from 1st of December 2016 : JEE Offlicial Website

    Things required to fill the application form:

    • A unique email address and mobile number of the candidate.
    • A password that has the following:
    • is 8-13 characters long
    • contains a capital case letter, a small case letter, special character and a number
    • For example (strongPwd#666)
    • Scanned copies of coloured passport size photo, left thumb impression, and current hand signature in JPG/JPEG format.

    Scanned images

    • The scanned images of coloured photograph, thumb impression and signature should be in jpeg/jpg format only.
    • Size of the photograph image file must be greater than 4 kb and lesser than 40 kb.
    • Size of the signature image file must be greater than 1 kb and lesser than 30 kb.
    • Size of the thumb impression image file must be greater than 1 kb and lesser than 30 kb.
    • Photograph image should be of the dimension of  3.5 cm(width) x 4.5 cm(Height) only.
    • Signature image should be of the dimension of 3.5 cm(length) x 1.5 cm(Height) only.
    • Thumb impression image should be of the dimension of  3.5 cm(length) x 1.5 cm(Height) only.

    Correction of Mistakes

    A candidate can only edit the application form details before the payment of fees.

    • The candidate's name must be same as the name displayed in the marksheet of the qualifying exam (XII class)
    • A candidate can fill / apply using only one application form.
    • After the registration, the candidate must note the application no. and login ID as it will be later used in all kind of tasks related to JEE Main 2017.
    • A candidate who wishes to appear for JEE Advanced 2017 is required to select his/ her choices of JEE advanced examination cities. They will be required to register again for JEE Advanced 2017.

    A candidate is NOT REQUIRED to send his / her application form supporting document copies to the CBSE office.

    Modes of payment of application fee

    E-challan: The payment can be done using e-challans from various nationalized banks. The banks include ICICI Bank, Syndicate Bank, Canara and HDFC Bank. The JEE Main 2017 Application fees can be paid in cash on any nearest brances of the above banks.

    Credit Cards: All major credit cards are accepted. (1.2% of application fee and service tax will also be added to the application fee total)
    Debit Cards (additional charge: 0.75% of application fee with standard service tax  (1% more tax when fees exceeds Rs. 2000)

    Important points for candidates

    • Candidate must note the application number generated after registration for future use.
    • Candidate must download and keep copy of the Acknowledge Receipt generated after the application submission process for future use.
    • Candidate is advised to have kept at least 10 copies of the photograph attached in the application form.
    • Candidate must keep copy of the Demand Draft or transaction details if paid online.

    JEE Main 2017 Exam Pattern

    It will explain things such as JEE marking system, type of questions asked, time available during the examination, mode of exam and other important topic related to JEE Main 2017.

    Information about JEE Main 2017

    Type of Exam

    • Exam 1: for Engineering  Courses.
      • Both Online as well as Offline (paper-pen based)
    • Exam 2: for Architecture/ Planning Courses.
      • Only Offline, i.e. Paper pen based exam.

    Time Duration

    The Joint Entrance Exam will last for 3 hours.

    Exam Medium

    • Candidates can write / appear JEE Main 2017 in English OR Hindi.
    • Candidates from Gujarat state are allowed to appear the exam in Gujarati Medium.

    JEE Main 2017 Engineering Exam Pattern

    Online Test - Computer Based Test (CBT)

    • The CBT will be covering questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with equal weightage to all subjects.
    • The JEE Main 2017 Question Paper will consist of three parts with equal weightage to all the three subjects.
    • The candidates will have to opt for the correct response for each question out of four responses given.
    • The exam will be for 3 hours in duration.
    • Each question will be allotted 4 marks.
    • Every wrong answer will result in deduction of one mark due to negative marking of ¼ (one fourth) of the total marks
    • No marks will be deducted for no answer / blank response.
    • Facilitation Centres (in cities where the online exam will be conducted) will be operational in March 2017 to aid hands on practice for students who wish to familiarize themselves with the online Exam pattern.
    • The list of the facilitation Centres will be announced in March 2017 by CBSE.

    Offline Test - Pen and Paper based test

    • The exam will be of 3 hours duration
    • 30 questions from each subject namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will be asked making the total number of questions to be 90.
    • The JEE Main 2017 Question Paper will be of multiple choices with one correct answer from a choice of four answers for each question.
    • All subjects carry equal weightage with each question carrying 4 marks for a correct answer.
    • Every wrong answer will result in deduction of one mark due to negative marking of ¼ (one fourth) of the total marks
    • No marks will be deducted for no answer

    JEE Main 2017 - Architecture Exam Pattern

    The JEE Main 2017 Exam 2 will be for the admissions to the Architecture/Planning courses.
    • The Exam will consist of Objective type of questions.
    The JEE Main 2017 Architecture / Planning Exam will consist of three parts:
    1. Mathematics
    2. Aptitude Test
    3. Drawing Test
    Note: Candidates have to bring their own geometry box set, pencils, erasers and colour pencils or crayons. A card board or a clip board is also advisable.
