JEE Main stands for Joint Entrance Exam (Main), it is conducted by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education).
It is a National Level exam, clearing which you can be eligible for JEE Advanced / IIT-JEE, or admission for Bachelor's Engineering in Indian colleges.

JEE Main is held for Undergraduate Engineering admissions in various institutes, including NITs and some other private and government funded colleges.

Joint Entrance Exam has two stages:
  1. JEE Main 2017
  2. JEE Advanced 2017: for courses in IITs.

What's new in JEE Main 2017?

Till now, JEE Main's rank (All India Rank) were calculated with class XII marks, as 6:4 ratio (60% JEE, 40% XII). Now the score for JEE Main 2017 AIR will be calculated without XII marks (100% JEE Score).
