Eligibility Criteria

Below are the eligibility criteria which aspirants for MGIMS PMT 2016 must fulfil in order to appear for the medical entrance exam.

Age

• Candidate must be older than 17 on the year of the admission (2016).

Qualifying Exam

• Candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
• For general category students, they must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks.
• For candidates from SC/ST/VJ/NT/OBS, they must have passed XII with minimum 40% marks.

Please Note that MGIMS PMT Wardha doesn't have any paid seats, the admissions are done on merit basis only, so you are advised not to contact any college authority, claiming to be in admission authority of any sort or an agent.

Exam pattern

The exam pattern of MGIMS Wardha PMT 2016 is explained below,

Question Paper

• The exam is based on standard XII topics.
• The exam will contain questions of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and Gandhi Thoughts.
• The questions of PCB in the exam will be multiple choice questions (MCQs). That means one has to choose the most relative answer from multiple options.
• There's also a section where questions about "Gandhi Thought" are asked, those questions are theory based/subjective type.

Marking Scheme

• There will be no negative marking in MGIMS PMT 2016.

Syllabus

• The MGIMS 2016 PMT exam will be based on standard XII topics, from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
• However the students are adviced to revise the XI topics too, as the topics are base for the XII topics.

• The next part of the MGIMS PMT question paper is based on "Gandhi Thoughts", it will be a section containing questions about Mahatma Gandhi's life and his visions and thoughts. If you haven't yet, you should also read about Gandhi's life in his autobiography "The Story of My Experiments with Truth" and read some other books on Gandhian Thoughts.

Application Form

• The application form for MGIMS PMT 2016 exam will start from December, 2015.
• You can get application form MGIMS by paying Rs. 5000/- in cash and fill the application form later.

• You can also download the challan from the website and then pay it at any SBI bank branch and send it to University.

• The Candidate must have passed 12th standard examination under 10+2 system of Maharashtra State Higher Secondary Education Board or equivalent examination of any recognized Board or any Indian University with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  
• The candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks (40% in the case of SC/ ST/ VJ/ NT/ OBC) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Exam Pattern

Highlights

• The entrance exam shall contain questions on Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Gandhian Thoughts.
• Questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology will be Objective type MCQ questions.
• Whereas, questions asked in Gandhian Thoughts will be Theory based/ Subjective in nature.
• No Negative Markings will be there.

Exam Syllabus

MGIMS Wardha PMT 2015 will be based on various topics in Physics, Chemistry and Biology from Class XI as well as Class XII books. Students are advised to carefully read both Class XII and Class XI books.
40% of questions are expected from Class XI topics and the other 60% are from Class XII.
The exam will also contain a "Gandhian Thoughts" Paper which will a theory based question paper.
The Gandhain Thoughts paper will have basic questions about the thoughts and life of Mahatma Gandhi.
Along with science students are advised to buy books related to Gandhian thoughts and learn it properly.
