BITSAT 2016 - Eligibility Criteria Details

BITSAT 2016 Eligibility Criteria
- Must have passed 12th (10+2 system) from central or state board of India or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. He/she must have proficiency in English language.
- If taken Mathematics in BITSAT, he/she must have scored minimum 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. If taken Biology, he/she must have scored minimum 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 12th exam.
- As well as he/she must have scored at least 60% marks in each subjects.
Students who are appearing for 12th board in 2016 or those who have passed it in 2015 are eligible for BITSAT 2016. - If a candidate has attempted 12th class more than once, the latest scores are taken into consideration.
The admissions will only be made on merit basis, and the merit rank will be based on the entrance exam score.
Students who have scored first in central or state board in 2016 will be given direct admission to course of their choice, the BITSAT score for them will not be considered.

For International Students:
International Students can also apply for BITSAT 2016, they must have taken SAT and SAT subject tests conducted by College Board for admission to first degree programmes at BITS campuses at Pilani-Hydrabad for year 2016-17. Those who hold passport issued by any country other than India are eligible under 'International Students Scheme'The admissions will be made on merit based on marks scored by candidates in SAT Subject Tests in Physics, Chemistry and Maths Level 2.

ReplyDeleteThe instructions will be updated online, the official website still reads "Advertisement for BITSAT 2016 is likely to be released by last week of December 2015." and there is no updates till now.
