Hi Exam Adda... Are the marks obtained in 12th standard PCB, aggregate with marks in AIPMT / MH-CET / AIIMS (whatever the exam we are giving) to decide our rank in any of the mentioned exam. To make it clear consider I'm appearing for AIPMT or MH-CET 2015, my result In these competitive exams would be purely based upon marks obtained in AIPMT / MH-CET 2015 or my 12th marks will be joined with medical competitive result to decide MBBS college/seat for me.
ReplyDelete•The overall question is - are 12th marks considered, rather than eligibility criterion which is almost 50%.
Sorry, to make question too messy or large. even it might look a little-bit funny. I'm really worried about that and need your answer.
The Class 12th marks in most of the medical entrance exam including AIPMT and MH CET are only considered when their is a close tie for seat (More than one person have scored same marks and seats are less.), In that case your 12th marks are considered, that too subject wise with order -> Biology -> Chemistry -> Physics.
DeleteThe answer to your question if 12th marks are taken as Aggregate is : NO, they dont.
Your 12th marks will be only for Eligibility and Tie Breaking cases, else no body bothers what marks you scored in PCB.
Thanks.

ReplyDeleteNo, according to newly formulates syllabus MH-CET 2015 will be based upon 12th Maharashtra State board syllabus while in case of AIPMT 2015 it will carry questions of both 11th and 12th from NCERT textbooks.
DeleteIs there any seats for ex-servicemen children in aipmt..??
ReplyDeleteHi, Exam Adda,
ReplyDeleteWe know that AIPMT fills 15% of seats of recognised government medical colleges across india. So, seats available through AIPMT for a specific medical colleges will be less. Hence cut off will increase for AIPMT. I checked that cut-off for OBC was 434-438 last year. What according to you should be the cut-off for OBC to gain a seat in desired medical colleges.
hello,
ReplyDeletei am getting 460 in aipmt 2015.
what are my chances to get a govt seat according to my marks?? i belong to general category.
Please reply soon..
As per your marks, you seen to be crossing the qualification cutoff. Your chances for getting admission are good. Have patience and attend counseling rounds.

ReplyDeleteYes, you can,
DeleteGenerally candidates with 435+ marks are sent to counseling round.
With that you are an OBC as well as Ex-serviceman category candidate.
There are more chances for getting admission in good college.
Sir/Madam,I am getting 472 in aipmt retest 2015 and I belong to general category. Can I get admission into government colleges of Odisha? Can you please give me some idea about the seats available under aipmt 20i5?Please do reply.
ReplyDeleteHello there,
Deletewith 475 marks, you are likely to be marked as qualified for MBBS and BDS seats. Yes you can get admission in Government Colleges if you appear in the merit list.
Regards/.
I have passed my 12th from hyderabad (telangana) in 2013. Since then iv been residing in chennai (tamil nadu) and this is my permanent address now. I wish to appear for AIPMT from here. Am i eligible for admission in government medical colleges of tamil nadu through 15% quota?
ReplyDeleteYes you are. In AIPMT, you can claim seats in the 15% quota across any corner of the country. That's what makes it 'National Level' exam.
DeleteBut there's a rule for telangana students.. Does that not apply to me if im residing in chennai now?
DeleteYou can claim the same by uploading a 'self declaration form' stating:
Deletei) You are not eligible to seek admission for MBBS/BDS seats in Medical/ Dental Colleges in the States of Andhra Pradesh, J & K and Telangana.
ii)You are not domiciled in Andhra Pradesh, J & K and Telangana.
plss tel me Mp Board passed student (private) eligible for aipmt ?
