As this is a nationwide exam, any student from any region in India can give this exam and apply for MBBS and BDS, except Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir.
Every Government Medical colleges (total 15% seats are available for admission) , many State Government colleges and some Private Colleges and Universities accept admissions, the deciding factor is the merit list.
Eligibility for AIPMT 2016

- Candidate should have got 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in Class 12th.
- Candidate should be at least 17 years old and not more than 25 years old as on 31st of December of 2016.
- If a candidate is appearing for class 12th exam, can also apply for AIPMT 2016.

Syllabus for AIPMT 2016
*Highlights*
AIPMT 2016 will have both 11th and 12th class syllabus. As the official sources tell, 40% questions will be asked from 11th class and 60% are to be asked from 12th class.

The Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type exam has the following subjects in AIPMT 2016.

- There will be 45 questions for each subject.
- Every question will be objective type.
- Each question will be of 4 marks.

Exam Pattern of AIPMT 2016
The exam paper (question booklet) will have total 180 MCQs from Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany.
There will be questions of total 720 marks.

- There will be four sets of the Question Booklet.
- The question paper will be available in English and Hindi language.
- Question will be based on syllabus as prescribed by NCERT.
- The questions will be framed from high school and intermediate (first and second year) syllabus.
- Each question will carry four marks and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

DeleteYour Date of Birth states that you are older than 17 and younger than 25 years on 31st of December, 2015. So if you are eligible for all the other criteria elements, you can appear for the exam. There is no limit of attempts on AIPMT Exam, you can appear for the exam as long as you remain eligible.

They must have to show the passing certificates complying with the percentage criteria at the time of first round of counselling....my result of class xiith will be officially declared in 2nd week of august 2016. Can i appear cor the AIPMT exam....coz if i get selected, how will i show them my eligibilty criteria of 50% marks at time of counselling...pls..advise

DeleteIt's already the second week, since you'll not be the only one making this exception (other students from your board will be in the list too.), it is expected that the AIPMT must've taken steps to fix this clash. If not, you need to contact the authorities (both AIPMT and your board) to take a look into this matter.

No, There will be absolutely no problem while appearing the exam and presenting the 2014 version of your 12th mark sheet.

The only way to get good in physics is by regularly practicing the numerical and conceptual problems. Students generally learn the theoretical part and ignore the numerical part which turns out be a big mistake afterwards.

Physics is full of mathematical problems, the more problem you solve, the better you get in the subject.
Is there any need to study books other than NCERT for biology aipmt2016?
ReplyDeleteThe NCERT Book is enough for understanding concepts of biology. Generally the questions are asked from the examples given in the book.

Okay. But I joined aakash test series.i have heard that the bio part is not based on NCERT (it is based on their own packages which have a lot of information).what should I do? I only study NCERT for bio (thoroughly).should I start referring aakash packages? If so, how can I do it in such less time. Thankyou
ReplyDeleteThe packages provided by aakash are totally based on NCERT. It is very similar to the NCERT book, but explains topics deeply and has more examples. It is not wrong to say that they are revised version of NCERT books. You should go with aakash books, they are same as NCERT.

ReplyDeleteSir/ma'am , if you are talking about the last year's aakash material, this year's material for bio is different.they made it vast.last years material was good.for an instance, in 'Human health and diseases', there are only 13 diseases in NCERT.some are just mentioned.but in aakash material, there are 27 diseases described very deeply. Should I read all of them?

DeleteSome variants of aakash's AIPMT package comes with AIIMS syllabus and pattern too.
If the package provided to you is meant to be preparation book for AIIMS too, then surely the extra content is for AIIMS and not for AIPMT preparation.
AIPMT follows CBSE / NCERT patterns to set exam, that being said, it will be mostly based on the ncert books.
It is recommended to learn all the topics from the aakash package (as it will only benefit you), but at the same time give more importance to topics which are mentioned in NCERT books.

ReplyDeleteYou can refer books from Universal Self Scorer, they are reputed and are their books have questions asked in past exams with explained solutions. Practice problems regularly, eventually you'll get familiar with the type of questions and will be able to solve the same in increased speed.

ReplyDeleteYes, for obvious reasons, the questions asked can be of classes and sub-classes level. You'll have to read everything / every subtopic under a topic.

Sir I have 2 mark sheet of 12. One contain marks of all subject. Second contain marks of only improved subject. So can I mention improved marks in aipmt 2106 form.

Sir ...the strictness and guidelines which was followed in AIPMT RETEST be still follow for AIPMT 2016 na? It ought to ... because there have been voices raising regarding it that CBSE is not as clean as it presents itself to be . After the scolding from SC may be we can hope for a genuine conduct of exam by them next year.

ReplyDeleteIt is obvious for national level exams to share some questions but they are not picked up explicitly from a specific paper. Instead of IIT-JEE questions, you should refer old medical exam papers. These things are purely coincidental unless the specific question holds too much importance.

ReplyDeleteThis year many corrections was sone in ncert books ... For AIPMT 2016 which books has to be followed ? The new edition of ncert or the old one .

ReplyDeletethis is a student from andhra pradesh.Actually we r not eligible to write AIPMT exam according to the eligibility criteria but i applied this xam only for the clause that AFMC consider's AIPMT marks or rank.Will i have any problem if i attempt this xam in future coz the disclaimer given in the offivial page scares me!!!!
