  1. Hello Sir/Madam

I am preparing for All India Pre Medical Test, I did my Intermediate with Mathematics from UP Board with 94%, now I am planning to appear in Intermediate exams again with Biology (Zoology & Botany) as a single subject, so that I can be eligible for AIPMT exam.

My worry is that, One of my friend told me that I will not get admission in any AIPMT college after qualifying AIPMT exam and the he told me reason that "None of these colleges gives admission to student having done intermediate with Biology as a single subject ".

    Please help and clarify.

    1. Hello Tanveer,

You should appear with all the subjects, if that is not possible, at least PCB. That'd be safer choice.

      Regards.

  2. Hello Sir/Ma'am,
I had cleared my 12th class in 2013. im from general category from cbse board. according to the details above, (02) should be my code ...right?? Am i eligible for aipmt 2016?? also can u justify what are the another necessary details for eligibility??

    1. Hi Navya, you are eligible and your qualification code is 02. There are no hidden eligibility rules, just make sure you've scored at least 50% in PCB in class XIIth and you are not from JK, AP or Telangana.

In case you are from the above states, you will not be eligible to claim the 15% all india quota seats. To bypass that, you'll need to upload a self declaration form. That's it.

Feel free to ask any other questions.

    2. Thankyou....for clearing my queries as earlier as possible!!..:). I belong to Gujarat n my 12 th score is 65 % in PCB from cbse board.Honestly, i am very good at biology, but my problem is physics, I had no issues with the concepts, but in exam hall i fail to apply those on the questions.as a result there is more negative marking , which lowers my overall result. Can u suggest some ways how can i improve my score n rank?? also , how much i should score to get top colleges as i belong to general category from Gujarat??

      Delete
    3. In AIPMT, only clear concepts of physics are not enough, the best approach is to solve numerical problems based on that concepts. When you solve numerical questions, you apply both, the concepts you learned and your problem solving skills. By repeating this regularly, you'll be able to get good marks in physics.
It is very obvious for a medical aspirant to have strong background in biology, but only the ones who are good in all three subjects crack the exam. Don't neglect the importance of physics and chemistry.

      For your second question:
550 marks will be enough to get admission in a decent government medical college.

    1. Hello Mr. Bodh, Unfortunately students from J&K are not eligible for the 15% all India quota seats.
In order to claim seats you have to prove that she is not eligible for J&K state CET (which you already stated) and is not domiciled in the state.
However, she is eligible for seats in AFMC, Pune.

  38. Can you tell me the difference between AIPMT 2016 Qualifying Code 02 and 03...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The code 02 is for students who have completed their HSC (class 12th) examination, whereas 03 is for students who have completed their Pre-degree/university exam.

Pre degree examination is an examination conducted by state boards or any other government authority under HRD, if a student appears and pass this test then it becomes easier for him/her to get into colleges which provide courses in medicine, engineering etc on the basis of merit scored.

This was a popular way of getting admissions in old times, now entrance exams like AIPMT are also required for a pre-degree student.

  73. Hi. I have entered the wrong examination code. It should have been 02 but I have entered 01. Apparently, it cannot be changed. What will be the repercussions of this? Is there anything to be done? Thanks.

    1. It wouldn't matter much, they wouldn't ask for marks in code 01, and will in code 02. They will treat them same otherwise.

  86. Sir,
I have taken PCMB stream in 11th and 12th. Will I not be able to appear for AIPMT if I fail in any one subject out of 5 i.e maths? I'm sure I would'nt fail but I guess I would score 40-50. In physics , chemistry and biology Im sure i would score 70+.
Will AIPMT consider my marks like that of JEE(normalisation) .
How much should I score in AIPMT when I belong to OBC category
