MH CET 2015 - Change in Exam Pattern

There is a major change in the exam pattern in Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test ( MH CET 2015), All the changes started with a press release from the education minister that he has decided to cancel MH CET Negative Marking System.
MH CET 2016 is now MHT CET 2016, Single exam for Medical, Engg and Pharamacy!

This brought a lot of confusion among the students about what pattern to follow and how to prepare.
The following is an official notification from Directorate Of Medical Research Maharashtra,

The notification includes changes in negative marking system and examination pattern.
The following changes has been made by the MH CET Medical Entrance Exam 2015 Authorities.
1. There will be no negative marking system in MH CET 2015.
2. The paper still will comprise of 200 Questions.
3. Each subject i.e. Physics, chemistry, Botany, Zoology will contain 50 questions.
4. MH CET 2015 exam will be of 200 marks with no negative markings.
5. 1 Marks will be rewarded after each correct response and no marks will be deducted for wrong answers/ response.
6. MH CET 2015 will only have 12th class topics as exam syllabus.

      Exam Centers outside maharashtra state include:
      Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Jaipur, Bhopal, Indore, Ahmedabad. Hyderabad, Kolkata

      Candidates are required to present a domicile certificate for MH CET, however you can appear for ASSO CET.

    Hello Exam adda,
    Their has been a lot of confusion in the minds of students going to appear for MH-CET 2015 including me about the SYLLABUS. According to the official DMER -
    • Only 12th or HSC syllabus will come in MH-CET 2015.
    • Examination will be held for 200 marks.
    These things are unbelievable for me. I just need you to verify that is this information for MH-CET 2015 is correct or not. I have seen this information on a pdf in dmer site. Please rectify me if I'm wrong somewhere.......... ○ Thank you ○

      Yes,it is absolutely true that the exam is of 200 marks with no negative marks and only 12th standard as a syllabus, thanks for commenting the update.

      With 71 marks, chances are less, but we suggest you wait till the last list, do not lose hope.

      Hello there,

      It can't be said before the official announcement. But you are advised to follow the current pattern I.e. 200 marks only class XIth with no negative marks

      For MH CET, you should follow the government textbooks thoroughly and then go for external publications like MTG, Arihant etc.
